Golden Rod Eggs

Golden rod eggs

This is a super easy meal that can be made for breakfast, lunch or supper.

 


Ingredients:

5 hard boiled eggs

3 Tbsp of butter

1/3 cup flour

2 cups of milk

1 tsp salt

4-5 slices of toast

optional: 4-5 slices of crispy bacon


Directions:

In a medium sauce pan melt the butter. Stir in the flour. While constantly whisking slowly pour in the milk. Stir in the salt. Let thicken.

Peel and dice the hard boiled eggs. Stir into the white sauce.

Serve over toast.

If adding bacon, either crumble in on top of the eggs or crumble it and stir into the white sauce.
